Supplying Sheeting for a Replica Anderson Shelter at The Royal Logistic Corps Museum
Client
Tinman
Steels Ltd was proud to support The Royal Logistic Corps Museum with the supply
of specialist steel sheeting for the construction of a replica Anderson shelter
display.
Overview
The project involved supplying both straight and curved sheeting to accurately recreate the distinctive structure of the original wartime shelters used throughout Britain during World War II. The combination of curved roof sections and straight side panels was essential in achieving an authentic appearance true to the historic design.
Project
Working closely with the museum’s team, we provided high-quality manufactured sheeting designed to meet the practical and visual requirements of the exhibit. The finished shelter forms part of the museum’s educational displays, helping visitors experience an important piece of British wartime history.
At Tinman Steels Ltd, we value opportunities to contribute to heritage and restoration projects where precision manufacturing and attention to detail are key. We are delighted to have played a part in supporting The Royal Logistic Corps Museum and preserving this iconic piece of history for future generations.
